Looking for a new pediatrician in Nassau. Recommendations please.
Hi Ladies,
I've never really loved Matthew's pediatricians BUT the other day we had an experience that I felt was just terrible and I will not go back to them. I have searched the posts here but would like to ask again for recommendations and also, if you wouldn't mind, telling me if there are any specifics of "why" you love them, I would appreciate it (maybe share a story of something that you felt made them more likeable, etc). You can fm me too if you don't want to post. THanks so much..... I would really appreciate some help here.

Andrew goes to a group practice in Mineola, right down the block from Winthrop. Let me know if this is in an area you would consider. There are 4 woman doctors and a NP.

Jared goes to Nassau Pediactrics on Dogwood Avenue in Franklin Square/West Hempstead.
One of the doctors was my doctor when I was little.

We go to East Rockaway Pediatrics with Dr. Joe Dellarusso. He is beyond amazing. When Bella was sick last time, they called for three days seeing how she was doing and if we wanted to have her come in for re-evaluation.
I feel like they really care, and we never waited longer than 5 minutes for a visit...well or sick. I really love them!

What part of Nassau are you looking in? My cousin works for an amazing peditrician in Williston Park. His name is Dr. Arnie Chusid. The number is 516.742.4171. My entire family uses him and can't say enough great things about him.

Ryan goes to ProHealth pediatrics. Its a group of 5 or 6 MDs and I love them all. My main ped is Dr. Maurice Chianese AKA Dr. Mickey to the kids. He is always so kind, supportive, allows us to make decisions (like the Hep A vaccine that is newly recommended). He gave us the info and his suggestion but left it up to us. Also, he always tells us what he is doing while examining Ryan and now even talks directly to him. Last time Ryan was there with fever and not eating or drinking. He told him that his insides were hot and he had to drink a lot of juice to cool them off. He got to his level and explianed it until Ryan said OK. The office is nice and clean, the staff are all really friendly. One of the other things I like is that Dr. Chianese will respond to emails. Sometimes if I have a question, but its not that urgent I would hesitate to call. BUt now I send an email and he usually repsonds within a day or two.
Their # is 516-622-PEDS and they are in Lake Success.

Thanks ladies. Is it crazy to drive more than 10 or 15 minutes to find a dr we love? I am just really disappointed in the place we go to and am willing to drive further to find someone we love. So any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
