Post Partum Questions...
What pg/pp symptoms took the longest to go away for you?
When do your hormones technically get back to normal? And are all the lingering symptoms related to this (for example, the linea negra that's still hanging around)?
When are you in the clear to not get PPD?

Re: Post Partum Questions...
Not sure abut when you are in the clear for PPD, I was never diagnosed with it cause my Dr. was a schmuck.. but thats besides the point.. I got horifically depressed and it took forever for it to fade... If you think you might be experiencing any abnormal pp behavior, or emotions, call your Dr.. and if s/he won't help you, go to another one.. Just to be sure..
I got the line "that's what it feels like to be PP".. and was told during this pregnancy that that WAS NOT how I was supposed to feel.. Good LucK!

Re: Post Partum Questions...
I felt a little bit of depression but that was in the first 2 weeks of coming home from the hospital. Thank God I was able to get outside in the nice weather with the baby and not sit home all the time. I think that helped.
I still have that line going down my belly...I scrub at it in the shower and hope that it will get lighter every day... My friend doesn't have the line anymore and she gave birth 7 months ago. So eventually it will go away.

I *think* I've read that you can get PPD at any point within the first year

Re: Post Partum Questions...
That line seems to take forever. At 7 months mine is pretty much gone - maybe a slight trace of it around/in the belly button. I think by 5 months it was mostly gone though.
My hair still falls out a lot. My hair and skin changed a lot when preggo and never went back to normal.
My hormones were back in check pretty quickly.
The mushy belly and reshaped body seems to be the worst post partum issue. I am only 1lb from my pre-preggo weight but have a new body. (but I don't exercise so I guess there is no magic cure that I am hoping for).
I though PPD can happen in the first year but not sure.

this is correct, after 1 year its just regular ole clinical depression. Stinks just the same.
