Where should we stay in Vegas?

We are trying to go for our Anniversary. Where can we stay on the strip for a decent price? And does anyone have a good website to book it through?

I had to book a room at short notice last year and the prices at the Excalubur were the mosr reasonable. Its very family oriented and lots of kids, but its really nice and affordable.

Allison, we went last year and booked our whole trip through Liberty Travel. We stayed at NYNY and paid a very decent price.

Any of the major resorts on the strip are great. Just stay away from Circus Circus, it is all the way at the end of the strip and is a dump.

the monte carlo is pretty nice. centrally located and reasonable prices. i don't recommend the tropicana.

We were there recently and stayed at The Paris hotel, rooms were nice, staff was friendly, and what I loved most is that its located on the center of the strip so the walk was convenient.

We booked everything through a travel agent.

I've stayed at the Aladdin, Stardust and for our HM we stayed at the Bellagio. If you're going for affordable the Aladdin was great. I didn't like the Stardust and the Bellagio is in a class all it's own. I'm not positive but I think the Aladdin is being taken over by Planet Hollywood, I'm just not sure when.

We booked them ourselves online.

We've gone a few times and booked online. We checked prices through hotels.com and searched reviews using travelocity. We've stayed at the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. My sister got married at Mandalay Bay and the hotel is gorgeous, but it (and Luxor) are at the far end of the strip.

Paris is very nice on the inside. The Aladdin is in the center of the strip, and the rooms aren't as expensive as some of the other hotels.

Vegas has hotels for all kinds of tastes. The prices and styles range a lot.

I would avoid the Paris- their customer service is horrible. We had numerous problems with our SUITE that we paid a lot for and they were very little help. I also didn't like the pool- too small.
But I love the Monte Carlo for affordability, the staff, and its location on the strip. The pool is ok-it has a lazy river and a wave pool.
Ventian is great too- all the rooms are suite size which is nice. The pool is really big.
Excalibur was fun but a little run down- still ok and very inexpensive. Pool just ok.
Mandalay Bay is really nice- pool is awesome- my favorite. Bathrooms there are really big too.

i went to every hotels website. i got great prices for paris. We had a great time at paris and the rooms had an awesome view of the bellagio fountains. on the last day we switched to excalibur. it doesn't compare. it was horrible compared to paris. the room was disgusting.. it was like the motel 8.

I have stayed at The Paris and it was nice, the staff was a little rude. I also stayed at The Luxor and liked it a lot. HTH

We just got back from Vegas on Thursday. We stayed at the Bellagio and loved it! The rates aren't too bad if you go during the week.

We stayed at the Bellagio and got a really reasonable deal on Expedia. It was beautiful and we had a good time...

Mind you, by the end of the 4 days my eyes were like slot machines!!! I love the slots!

We also took a Maverick Helicoptors tour to the Grand Canyon and that was worth spending a months salary on!!!

I've stayed at the Mirage (many years ago) and the Bellagio (Sept. 05). I liked them both, but the Bellagio was amazing!!
