Okay I feel absolutely horrible for feeling this way

I just had a hysterical crying breakdown trying on clothes as i am going out tonight in the city. I don't know what happned but in the last two days i have totally popped. I am only 10 weeks and I look pregnant. My pants still fit very snug but wearing any type of fitted top or even sweater makes me look very pregnant.

I am carrying twins so i know i am going to be bigger then the normal singleton carrier, but now i am so terrified about putting on so much weight. I feel like an alien in my body the past two days and now i know why.

I know its healthy and part of the process but i now feel absolutely horrible about crying over it.

Sorry i just needed to vent.

Chat Icon Chat Icon I have felt this way in the beginning. Focus on the positive and on the plus side, there are really cute preggo clothes out there now.

Take this opportunity to go and buy yourself a new outfit! I'm sure you'll feel better when you buy something new and cute to wear.

Welcome to pregnancy!! With 7 weeks to go I still feel like this sometimes. This morning dressing was a nightmare because I already wore all my warm maternity pants- and I can't find my favorite pair of maternity pants.

I would definitely recommend getting the Belly band- that way you can wear some of your old clothes. It lets you wear them, but you don't have to close them.

Also check out Express. They have amazing tops. I had a party last week and two this weekend and I got some cute tops.

I know exactly how you feel. I am 11 weeks and everytime I go to get dressed it is a major process. I'll plan on wearing something I wore only a week before, and when I go to put it on it doesn't fit!

I got "starter" pants at gap.com.

I was so upset one night, I threw all my clothes into bins and put them away so I wouldn't have to look at them.

My poor DH had no idea what to do. Chat Icon

Re: Okay I feel absolutely horrible for feeling this way

I started showing from the very beginning. I have a huge pile of clothes on the spare bed that don't fit and every day it is something else. One day it does, next it doesn't.

I have some really cute clothes that I bought. I have been shopping around too.

I got 2 cute shirts from JC Penny's. 1 Denim Skirt from Sears. 2 cargo capris from Old Navy. Jeans from Gap. A bunch of shirts from motherhood.

I stopped trying to squeeze. Could I still honestly get away with wearing my normal clothes? yup, at 15 weeks now I could..but why? To suffer all day and be uncomfy?

I love the clothes I bought and I am enjoying them and not letting myself get down!

I went through the same thing, I showed very early, nothing fit, I had to buy all new clothes. With mine, I carried most of my weight in my tummy alone - so I had to buy a lot of new shirts. By the end I was in an XL when I would normally wear a small. I had many a crying episode!

Re: Okay I feel absolutely horrible for feeling this way

I feel like you do too - I am at 11 weeks and yesterday noticed I have a bump in front - not really noticeable yet (like I had to point it out to dh adn make him feel!) but I see it...and stupidly it bothers me...

you are having twins, too, so I am sure you still look perfect!! (I am only having one!) I guess one of my bigeest fears (Chat Icon - when did I become a vain supermodel??) is that people will think I am fat not pregnant...which is so dumb and irrational but its also really important to keep eating and drinking to help the baby (or in your case babies!) grow healthy and strong!

feel free to fm anytime you want since I am in the same boat!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you all for you kind support. I was so embarrassed by myself after doing that because i know i have to get big. I was just so shocked at how it seemed to happen overnight.

Re: Okay I feel absolutely horrible for feeling this way

Please don't feel horrible, I went through the same thing, tore apart my closet, dresser and couldn't get my booty into anything. I cried and cried.
What helped me was to put away all the pre pg clothes that don't fit, so out of site out of mind. So I only have clothes in front of me that fit. Def helps the mind and spirit.

Re: Okay I feel absolutely horrible for feeling this way

I had the same breakdown around 12 weeks. DH called me from work as I was laying on the bed in the middle of a heap of clothes sobbing! The next day I went to Target and bought a couple of those rubbermaid containers and did what Sweetness did, paked them all away. Then I went shopping for stuff that fit to fill all the empty space Chat Icon I feel so much better since I did that.
