Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I thought I'd ask on this board if you don't mind!! I could use the help :)
I am trying desperately to see what to do. I will be 7 months pregnant at my best friends wedding, and i'm the MOH. I would usually order a 10 and have it taken in (i'm an 8 typically). The dresses she chose are not maternity, it is a beautiful strapless bill levkoff with a sash.
I have no clue what size to order, and the lady at the store was no help really. They can put panels in the dress to add material if needed. do you think a 16 with panels sounds about right?? Anyone is this situation before?? Feedback would be so appreciated!!
Thank you!

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
i wasnt but i had a prego bm ...shes normally a 6, but ordered an 8, it was still too small... and they were going to charge her a crazy amounth to order extra material. I would go with the size 12 for u....better it be a lil big, so u can take em in , instead of not having enuff material

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
But a 12 would only be one size bigger than i normally am, and i'll be 7 months..wouldn't that be too small? This is so confusing.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I almost was, but thought long and hard about it and decied to withdraw myself from the wedding party. When we went to speak with the bridal consultant they said either an empire waist dress or yu need to order a pregnancy dress if you'll be over 7 months preggo, it became such a hassle for me and the bride that I pulled myself out, although the bride was really upset we both knew it was for the best, in the endm I gave birt a few weeks earlier than my original due date so I wouldn't of made it to her wedding anyway

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I was nine months pregnant and gave birth 3 days later. I ended getting my own dress from a pea in the pod that complemented the Lazaro pink dresses. While looking though I came across www.momsnightout.com and this other great website. I cannot remember the name. They have a store in manhattan and they make to styles a short and long and it comes in 100 or more colors to match any bridal party. Once I remember I promise to post. It will be buggin me all day.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I was 9 months pregnant and was in a wedding 4 days before my scheduled C-section. The bm dresses were black so I just went and got a maternity bridesmaid dress in black. It was not the same as the rest, but it looked great.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I was 6.5 months pregnant at my brother's wedding. I typically wear a size 6 or an 8 in BM dresses (I've been in way too many weddings!) and for my brother's wedding, I ordered a size 16 (not maternity)!! I needed to have the top taken in a lot but my belly fit into it just fine!

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I would definitely go a few sizes bigger. Its a lot easier to take in then to have to add. If you are the MOH see if your gf would mind you wearing a different dress, perhaps maternity so you will feel and look more comfortable. I was only 3 months when I was a bridesmaid but I also was a bridesmaid 3 months post partum and ordered big b/c I knew i wouldn't get the weight off in time. I just took it in and everything went well.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I cut and paste this from another post I responded to in September. The dress was not maternity and I didn't need the panel thank God $$$!!
I was in your exact situation. My normal size would have been like a 10 in the dress my cousin had picked out; I ordered a 16 and I thought it was going to be huge. I was right to get that size because although they had to take in the top a bit, the stomach region JUST fit. I think it's better to be safe than sorry...here's my picture at 33 weeks and a size 16!! Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
If I were you I would try to order a maternity dress. Many designers make maternity bridesmaid and let you wait til about 6 weeks before the wedding to give them your size. You will then not have to worry about the dress not fitting.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
I was 5 months when I was in my cousin's wedding. I had ordered the dress in a 16 and it was fine. I also made sure I didn't gain much weight because those dresses ran a bit smaller.

Re: Was anyone ever a PG bridesmaid?
my cousin was 8 months PG at my wedding...but instead of putting in extra panels...they ordered extra length...and then pulled the dress up at the waist....to make room for her belly....I'm not sure if that is an option for you...the dress I choose was Empire Stlye...I knew I had 2 BM TTC so I choose a dress that would be easy to alter around their Belly's if they were PG.
