How do you get a large (8x10) area rug cleaned?
I don't want to rent one of those steamers in the stores because I've heard they can be really gross.
Do companies like Stanley Seamer clean those types of rugs?

I had mine dry cleaned by my dry cleaner. It wasn't a oriental rug or anything just one I picked up at a store..
There are specialty stores that clean them, and I believe that Sears carpet cleaners will clean area rugs too.
