It's hard, there's no getting around it. The first day wasn't the worst because I enjoyed being back at work, in the adult world and was kind of excited to get back into the swing of things. The worst was when Thursday and Friday rolled around. ugh. It's easier if you let your husband do the drop off and you do the pick up - the drop off is always the hardest...

The first day was ok, because I was happy to see everyone and busy catching up. But I called in sick that Friday cause I could make it thru the week. The first month is a difficult time of adjustment, but it does get better once you establish a routine. Good Luck

Agree 100% with this. Also, what made the transition easier for me was that the first week I went back to work, DH stayed home with the baby. So my 2nd week back at work was really the baby's first week at daycare. I did the first drop off (which was hard, but how could I not?!) and then after that DH always does the drop off.

I agree too! My DH drops her off in the am, and I pick her up in the pm.

I was OK with returning to work, but like other ladies have said previously, my DH drops her off in the AM and I pick up. Also, it helps so much that we have family taking turns watching her.
The first month back was great; I got to socialize and do a job that I love. However, everything went downhill after the "newness" wore off during the second month. Now, I'm back three months, and although I think different aspects of my life suffer at times, I'm in a routine that I'm (mostly) comfortable with.
Good luck to you!!

I have to say I didn't find it that difficult going back to work. Yes, I missed my son but I was ok. In a way I had missed that part of my life. I also knew I had a good babysitter at home and that definitely made it easier.
