Shopping EARLY this year.. need suggestions..
Hi everyone.. I am FORCING myself to start shopping early this year.. ideally I would LOVE to be done before Thanksgiving.. but I don't know how likely that is... 
I need some ideas for my assistants. Something small, around $50 a piece? I need to get 3 of them.. Any ideas?

Not for coworkers.  I love them. When I get them, I take a pic of what I buy, and stick it in the TY card.

GC area always greatly appreciated by asisistants who may not always have the extra income to slurge on themselves.
$50 at the Gap is a sweater, $50 at B&N is a few books to make commuting easier, $50 is dinner at Applebees

I vote on the gift card too - a Visa one so they can shop where ever they want. TRUST ME...MONEY IS PERFECT!! I would prefer money over a gift from my bosses any day.

I am an assistant and I usually receive gifts from 3-4 people. GCs to Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble, Sephora, cash etc. They know me really well. IMO these are the best gifts.

Coach has wristlets and keychains for under 50.
a gift cert. to their fav. nal salon if you know what it is.

Same here!!
While I have gotten some nice gifts from my bosses in the past, I've also gotten some lousy, useless ones..
, I LOVE Gift Cards in general .. they are the best gift (and NOT impersonal to me, its the workplace after all )

Something I WOULD NOT GET....the mall gift certificates. While they're pretty useful, they deduct dollars for non-use, they charge for checking balances, etc. Also they charge you to get the gift card.
You're better off at a store in the mall.

I vote for Gift Cards!
I think they make the best gifts and everyone appreciates them probably more then anything else..
The Visa Gift card is the best..
Restaurant gift cards are great too..
