So, my lovely husband is planning a last getaway before the baby...

and I got really excited about it....then he told me what it was.Chat Icon He was planning on flying to Chicago...BY HIMSELF....to see a baseball game. W T F?! Hello?! What about ME!? I've been wanting to take a trip with him since we got married, but now that we're having the baby in June, I've REALLY wanted to get away with him for a long weekend or something. But NO, thiss azzhole plans a trip for HIMSELF. He didn't see the big deal because he'd leave and come back on the same day. I was like, "Hello, I'm going to be 7.5 months pregnant at that time, and you're just going to get up and fly hundreds of miles away just to go see a f-ucking baseball game?!" His excuse was, "But the plane tickets were only 39 dollars." WHO F-UCKING CARES?! I'm so mad at him. I told him if he goes, don't bother coming backChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

OK, I'm going to give my honest opinion...I'd be bothered, but I wouldn't be fuming. I think it's good to do seperate things, and he's just gonna be gone for the day. Come and hang out with meChat Icon HOWEVER, I would INSIST on a weekend getaway with him before Ava comes!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: So, my lovely husband is planning a last getaway before the baby...

Stacy, JT will be happy to hear you stuck up for himChat Icon And I agree, separate things are great, and if I wasn't prego, I'd pack him a freaking lunch, but I just have a hard time with him picking now to board a freaking plane just to see a baseball game. I don't know. I'm more mad that whenever I want to go away for the weekend, he says he doesn't want to waste the money (gee, waste, thanks), however, in this case, he has no problem spending the money to fly, park his car at the airport, buy the ticket to the game and eat. I told him I would gladly fly to Chicago on a weekend and go to a game with him, but apparently, THAT would be too much moneyChat Icon
I am very fortunate for many reasons to have my husband, however, in this case, I think he's nuts. And I'm really mad and hurt that he was planning something without me.Chat Icon

OK, now I agree with youChat Icon I didn't know he was blaming $$ for not doing something with you, yet he's spending it on himself. Tell JT I take it back...he's wrongChat Icon Again, if he plans on this little "outing" by himself, I'd insist on a weekend away, just the 2 of you.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Well now that he knows I'm mad, he wouldn't dare go! He knows better! I didn't spend all that time training him for it to all go to hell on a plane to Chicago without me!Chat Icon
His friend just asked us to go to Boston with him and his girlfriend. I think I'm going to suggest to him that we go, and the guys can do their thing for a day, while us girls go and get pampered. I'll be damned if I don't get my weekend away before the baby comes!!!!!

Re: So, my lovely husband is planning a last getaway before the baby...

Yikes! I actually booked the flight & hotel for DH to go to a Chicago Cubs vs. White Sox game with his friend. I was only 5 months pregnant when they went. I also made sure we took the trips I wanted to go on (just a few weekends in Manhattan & Montauk).

I think Boston sounds terrific! Hope you have a great time. BTW, I can't believe you're so far along. I felt like it was just yesterday you posted you were pregnant!
