Gevalia Coffee?

Is it any good and is it worth the extra money? I sent away for a trial (Programmable coffee maker and 2 bags of coffee for $14.95) and I'm just wondering if it will be worth it. I know they start sending you coffee monthly afterwards. Does anybody get it?

Re: Gevalia Coffee?

Hey! Glad to see you back! Chat Icon My mom always ordered the free coffee maker, then cancelled after that. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but from what I remember it isn't like Starbucks quality, so it seems kind of expensive to keep getting it monthly. The coffee maker and bags are a great deal--we need to get that because as you know we don't have a coffee maker for when we have company.

Re: Gevalia Coffee?

I ordered it and loved the coffee, but I'm not a huge coffee drinker and they never stop sending the coffee...I think the minimum you can order is two boxes a month. DH told me to cancel, but I never quite got around to it and started hiding the coffee under the bed. When we moved he found my stash...he said you would have thought I was hiding pornography!! Anyway, I had to cancel at that point, but would probably join again if I drank more coffee; they have such delicious flavors.

Re: Gevalia Coffee?

I ordered it and got the free maker and then started to get coffee monthly but I could not keep up with the amount they were sending me, so I called them and they stopped the shipments for a few months...they started to shipping again but I still had so much... then I went to cancel, and they offered me a bunch of free stuff and I got sucker in again Chat Icon I know! but I heard the word "FREE"..the coffee is good...but the only thing I didnt like was when they had a limited edition coffee they would just send you 2 boxes without you asking for it (in addition to your reg. shipment)...Chat Icon It is up to you the read threw the ads that come in the mail and you would have to send in a card saying you didnt want the limited edition coffee....EACH time they offered it! Chat Icon IMO take the maker then cancel! Chat Icon unless you love the coffee...hope that helps...

Re: Gevalia Coffee?

The coffee is pretty good, but expensive and if I got it, I would probably cancel after the first shipment. You can buy starbucks in the supermarket for less $$ than the Gevalia, I think.

Hey! Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better now and felt up to posting, so here I am! I definitely think it's worth it for the free coffee maker alone, lol.

I'll have to check that out. I think Gevalia's like $5-7 per bag, depending on what kind you get and then you have to pay shipping too. Chat Icon It'll probably be more worth my while to just cancel the shipments right away.

Re: Gevalia Coffee?

Another question, if anybody happens to read it: The booklet mentioned that you can change the amount of time between shipments so that you're not getting them every single month. Is that true, or do they really push you to get it every month?

Check it out - I might be wrong, but I think their bags are half pound bags - or at least they were when I did it a while ago, so the price per pound is higher than buying coffee in a store. I ordered, got 2 fleece jackets and 2 travel mugs, the first shipment of coffee and cancelled.
