I need recommendations for an Italian Restaurant
Tomorrow is DH's bday and he would like Italian. It's been so long since I've let myself eat Italian, I can't even think of any place! Any suggestions in South Shore Nassau? Maybe Oceanside, RVC area?
Thanks!!!

Sole is very good in Oceanside . .. . .
Isn't there also La Parma there? I have never been there but Heard the food is very good.

Re: I need recommendations for an Italian Restaurant
Bri - Sole is one of our favorite places!! We were just talking about it but his exact words were "If we go to Sole, I know I'll get the duck, and I really want Italian" Great minds think alike!!
I was thinking La Parma, but I think it's better known for the family-style.
Do you know about Tomatoes in RVC? I was there once, but a long time ago.

I was going to say that I have heard good things about Tomatoes, but wasn't sure it was still open . . . . I have never been there though

I've been to Tomatoes...but, it was over a year ago. From what I remember, we all enjoyed our food.

Re: I need recommendations for an Italian Restaurant
I just called Tomatoes - they're closed for renovations! We'll probably end up going to Vito's in LB - I love Seventh Street Cafe in GC - have taken him there once for his birthday a few years back - maybe I can convince him to go there again!

Re: I need recommendations for an Italian Restaurant
Back in the day when I lived in Oceanside we used to eat at The Wander Inn in Baldwin. I don't want to say I remember exactly what road its on though because I will probably say the wrong one. I don't know if still has the same name or not.
Its been many years since I have eaten there but it was always really good Italian like ziti, lasagna, penne, etc. Its not fancy Italian its more like homestyle, tomato sauce Italian.
