Neurotic Mom in Need of Reassurance that Window A/C is Safe in Baby's Room
My condo is like a brick oven, so we put a window a/c unit into the nursery and I left it on for the first time tonight. Can you all reassure me that she is safe? I'm having distorted fears of electrical fires. That is crazy, right???

It's fine. My friend has put a window a/c in her son's room the past 3 years and there have been no issues.

She's safe. Buy a smoke detector for her room & get a good night sleep.

Sometimes my imagination goes a little wild. Thanks for the reality check. My daughter is glad that she no longer has to wake up all sweaty!

I have one in Bella's room for ANOTHER paranoid reason...I don't want to leave her windows open at night because I live in Long Beach and I feel they are to accessible by an intruder...
I think you will be fine...and all our imaginations run wild now, it's amazing the ridiulous things I think of now that she is here!
