Property Tax Question - 12/1 Due Date?
i just realized that it is december 3rd and we haven't recieved a bill from the town for property taxes (we opted for a no tax escrow). aren't they due december 1?

we didn't get a bill yet either - I think the due date is 12/31. They give you till the end of the month.

Q: When are property tax bills mailed?
A: The Receiver of Taxes mails tax bills once a year around mid-December.
Q: When are property taxes due?
A: The first half is due on or before January 10th. The second half is due on or before May 31st.

Now, I have a question. I am in the Town of Islip. Our tax bill has yet to come too (the website says the same...mailed out in middle of Dec) Does this include Property & School taxes? I know my parents live in Nassau and pay them together, but I do not know about Suffolk.
Please help!!

the taxes (property, school and county) are lumped together in 1 bill. call the town to confirm.

Yep, this is how is works. I just did this last week. Be sure to go to Town Hall (40 Maple Ave) to file for your STAR. You have until March.
