Luteal Phase
If I normally have a long luteal phase (usually around 17 days) and I always spot before my period, do you think this means I will be put on Clomid?

Re: Luteal Phase
Do you have any charts you can share, to show that your LP is 17 days ? That's an interesting LP. Are you sure you are detecting O properly ? The reason I say it's interesting, is because some fertilization can be going on. Spotting before AF usually means hormones are a bit imbalanced....although I think most people spot before Af. That is definitely not a good reason to be put on clomid.

I haven't been charting....I need help! It confuses me. Should I go on fertility friend?
I seriously believe that I have been "fertilized" before I know, sounds weird, but havent been able to "keep it". Make sense?

Re: Luteal Phase
MrsTC,
I always had the same issue-- long LP + spotting before period.
I discussed it on the phone with my RE during the first few days of a month when I was on a "break" from the fertility clinic. He said it sounded like possible low progesterone, and that I could wait and get blood tests, or he could prescribe progesterone suppositories for me. He said that the suppositories wouldn't hurt, even if I didn't have the problem.
So I decided not to bother waiting till that part of my cycle for the blood work, and he prescribed the suppositories. You start taking them about 3 days past ovulation, I think. Anyway, after 1 year and 2 months of trying (including 2 months of Clomid, and IUI!) , I got pregnant that month the old-fashioned way and am 14 wks now. I can't prove it was the progesterone but it seems coincidental.
