We got a great preliminary report!
Yesterday the engineer came to look at the house DH and I love. Although he found little things wrong with it, he said overall it was a great house, and I'm so happy! We'll have the formal report back later this week.
And, the mortgage broker had someone go out to do comp. sales and guess what? My house is worth at least $25K more than what we're paying. Yippe!!!!
Unfortunately, the seller had some bad things happen to him and he wants out pronto. DH found public records on what he paid for the house...only $5K less than what we're paying. He's taking a huge loss.
