the use of bumpers in crib
after reading the article someone posted on here about sleep positioners...this got me thinking about the crib bumpers. I bought a beautoful bedding set and was planning on using them but now Im not so sure. Ive heard mixed things. as long as they are tied to the crib tightly, are they allowed to be used? how many used them or plan on using them???

I plan on putting one in the crib, I will just make sure that it fits snuggly

I am curious about that too. The bumber makes the whole bedding set and I would hate not to use it. Although, I would always put the babys safety first. So what do you do?

This is the one we have on our crib. DH wanted something after he found her with her whole leg sticking out the slats, but I wanted something that she couldn't potentially smother in. It was a happy medium for us.

Re: the use of bumpers in crib
after looking into this, i will not use a crib bumper. i watched that sleep positioner video on consumer reports & there's no way i'll use either now.

Re: the use of bumpers in crib
DS is still sleeping in the bassinett, but i did put the bumper on his crib. the other day he peed all over the changing table so i put him down in the crib for a few minutes while i cleaned everything up and he spit up all over the sheets. taking the sheet off and getting it back on again was such a PIA with the bumper on that I am going to take it off even just for that reason.
