Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I know that sounds funny. But, I am not really that skinny. I was looking at some of the belly shots and all you ladies look so cute. Everyone that I saw though was skinny before they got PG.
I have a feeling I am going to look like a fat cow. I am a size 14/16 now.
Edited for bad spelling

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I was a size 8/10 before becoming PG after I lost 20 lbs on WW (before WW I was a 14 on the bottom, an 12 on top). I did not "look pregnant" until the end of my 4th month or so, just bloated. I don't think you have anything to worry about, because I think all PG women look cute.

I would consider us "fluffy" anyway.... yes I feel your pain, but I think any preggo is adorable no matter how big she is. I dont worry too much about it, I am trying not to eat like a maniac but I am far from dieting as well. I actually get fuller faster lately and I still gained 12lbs in the first trimester

I'm right there with ya. My biggest fear is finding maternity clothes...I'm afraid I will have to find plus size clothing...not looking forward to that at all!

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I was a 12 pre-pregnancy...for me I have HUGE boobs to begin with so I am having a hard time dealing with them getting bigger AND trying to find tops that will hold these bad girls in.

But you will have two and "OMG, you're going to get so fat" (j/k in regard to your post about people saying stupid things)

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I was a quite plus size when I got pregnant. Overall it wasn't too bad. The end was exhausting but I think it is for most women. I did get high BP at the end as well but they told me it was not because of my weight.

Same here. I got plus size maternity clothes at Motherhood, but they have them at lots of places now.

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I was a size 12 before PG and I posted my progress so far
That is why I did it because I only saw skinny girls and thought seeing someone heavier would help someone

Welcome to MY world. Although, my boobs seemed to have stopped growing...FINALLY!
I was a 12 also pre-prego, and I thought I would have a hard time with maternity clothes, but so far, everything fits fine. And I hear no matter what size you were in the beginning, NOTHING fits anyway near the end!

Can I join the big boob group? lol I was a very big D prior and who knows what I am right now. I don't fit in my bra and I can't find any around that fit. I can't wait to come home in 2 weeks and go to Fredericks!!! And they are only going to get bigger!!!!!!!!

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I am very plus-sized and although I was self concious about it in the beginning I think I looked very pregnant in the end. I actually wish I had my pregnant body back for some reason. I had a reason to be round for once, and my stomach was rock hard -- lol -- now it's back to mush again!!!

I feel for you girls. I'm a J cup now. (I was an H pre-pregnancy.)
I went for bras at Georgettes recently and even they were blown away. I'm screwed because they don't even carry my size.

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I too was about your size when I got PG, or even 1 size bigger. I also felt like I didn't look like one of those cute PG ladies, and it made me uncomfortable to even tell people we were PG because of this. I really thought I just looked "bigger". I'll never forget the day DH and I were in the paint store (about 6 months PG) buying paint for the baby's room. There was another lady in there, very obviously PG and DH asked when she was due. It was a week after us, and DH was so excited, tellin her that I was PG too, and we are due a week before she is, blah, blah, blah... Well, she kept looking over at me like she couldn't believe I was PG.
What I will tell you is to resist the urge to just buy bigger clothes. (In the above story, I was wearing sweat pants, and a "bigger" sweatshirt). If you buy maternity clothes, you WILL look PG -- they are made to fit as usual in all areas except the belly and the boobs. If you just go buy clothes in size 18/20 or 22/24, you WILL end up just looking like that size. I know maternity clothes can get expensive, but shop the sales. I got some great tops really cheap at Motherhood. Also try Old Navy, and I got some stuff from e-bay.
Hope this long story helps.

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
Maybe I can provide some reassurance. For those of you who were 12s or 14s before pregnancy, I found that Maternity clothes fit me better than my pre-preggo clothes and in the beginning I was buying smaller sizes than I was used to b/c they were so nice and roomy. It was great. And I agree with the other mommies and mommies to be I think all pregnant women look cute no matter their pre-pregnancy size was.

I couldnt agree with this more!! Im also a 14 pre- pregnany.. with my first I started buying just Bigger clothes and if you saw me at 9 months I looked like I had gained about 50 pounds but never looked pregnant.
Last pregnancy I opted to shop for maternity clothes instead and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! The whole pregnancy I looked pregnant not just fatter... Motherhood maternity in the broadway mall has some great stuff in now in plus sizes. It really does make a world of difference in how you look when you start getting bigger..

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
I was plus sized for both my pregnancies. I looked pregnant about my 5-6 month. I bought my mat. clothes at Motherhood in Hicksville and ordered online through JC Penny. They have great stuff. Enjoy every minute of being pregnant.

Re: Any not-so-skinny pregnant women?
Once my belly rounded out around 32 weeks, I really felt pregnant. Many people thought I would have HBP or GD bc I was plus sized, but I didn't. I had a very non eventful pg. I also only gained 15lbs.
