Does this happen to you...may be tmi
Some months when I get AF all I get is brownish discharge (sorry, I told you...tmi) for the 3 - 5 days AF is here. Some months it's full on. I was wondering if I am O'g or not during these months. I'm 2 months off bc, so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Just wondering if anyone questioned this with their gyn (assuming this happens to anyone else). I did and she didn't seem concerned. I'm ttc now so I want to make sure I'm O'g and can predict when it happens.

Re: Does this happen to you...may be tmi
hmmm...to be honest, doesnt sound good to me. My dr was a "little" worried about the amount of brown spotting I get before getting full blwon AF.
I would mention it again. Say that you did some research and it doesnt appear to be 100% normal. What would cause this. Maybe try to force a better answer out of the DR.
Brown is old blood. So if your having that, its usually from the PREVIOUS cycle, and that "could" indicate a luteal phase defect. But it could, doesnt mean you do, so I dont want to cause any un needed worry or anything.
Do you knwo how long it is from ovulation to AF for you?

When I had annovulatory cycles my AF was ONLY that brown blood and I know I wasn't ovulating. You should probably be charting to confirm you are ovulating every month.
I notive a huge difference between the flow when I am ovulating and when I am not.

annovulatory means that you didn't ovulate. Speak to your Dr.

You should have started this morning but you can start tomorrow. Your temps will be in the lower range as you are pre-O. Too much to explain here but here are some links: fertility friend This can be confusing, I am pretty internet savvy and had a hard time getting started. It might be easier in the beginning to print out a chart and record your temps manually. Just do a google search for basal body temperature chart. Here is a good website that explains the basicsInfo Good Luck-Redstar knows a bunch and is always helpful so you can FM her if you have questions-or me but I don't know that much!

you might also want to stop by barnes & noble and pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
Charting helped me get a better handle on what my body was doing.
