need party ideas/suggestions
DH will be turning 30 over the summer and I'm trying to come up with something extra special for his b-day. I don't really want to do anything at our house, because I've done that many times before. I could do a restaurant party, but that doesn't seem too exciting, and I don't think DH would be thrilled. I'm trying to come up with a party idea that's totally different (and won't drive me into the poor house.) I looked into chartering a boat, but that's going to cost me like $6,000 or up- which is WAY more that I'm looking to spend. I've also considered having a casino party, because DH likes to gamble, but I'm not too sure about that one. I even looked into taking DH on a cruise and then having our friends and family go too, and I would host a cocktail party the first night of the cruise. I'm sure DH would love that, but I don't know how many people would actually wind up going, as it would cost them $750pp. Anyone have any interesting suggestions? I'm pretty open to anything a little different. TIA!!!!

You know they have Companies that you can hire to do the whole Casino Themed Thingy! I worked in Catering and this was done at lots of parties! They set up tables, slots w/dealers and all the necessary equipment! You would have to search out the names I do not know them! Good Luck!

Is he into a certain sport? If he's a golfer, what about paying for him and his friends to have a day of golf?
Or if he's into baseball, take him to a game and have friends/family sitting there as a surprise

I love that idea, but we don't live on LI. We live in White Plains, so I guess I would have to look into having it somewhere in CT.

CASINO PARTY! we dod this. You can hire a dealer or two and rent tables. Put any extra money into a pot at the end for the big winner. Do casual app type food. I think that would be fun and fitting if he likes gambling
