Just curious, I know that sometimes milk doesn't come in, or others things come up, and I just want to know what we should be prepared for.. TIA

We have only used ready to feed similac advance with iron and I will tell you it is very expensive.

Jacob is 3 months and drinks 7.5 to 8 oz a feeding. Now He is down to 4 feedings a day.

With that said we use a bottle every day and a half. You can get them on sale for 4.99 but they are usually 5.79. At BJ's they have a case for 29.99.

If you sign up with similac, they will send you $5.oo coupons

Ryan is 2 months old...eats 4 oz every 3 hrs... We use similac isomil with iron formula...RTF... its about 35/week...

I suggest signing up with similac.... they send you coupons up to 50 bucks..

Im sneaking I also signed up my mom...so I get double each month... the only thing is... make sure you use a different address, and make sure that person can pick up the formula for ya... They make the check out to whomever is signed up, and babies r us...checks ID to make sure you are that person...

Marissa - that's a great idea, I have to do that!

Although BRU has never checked my ID on those checks.

I also use Similac Advanced RTF and it's about $28.00 for a 6 pack at BBB which lasts us approximately 1 week. But I also get the $5 off coupons from Similac so it comes out to approximately $100/month for formula. Sometimes a little more, depending on prices that month.

You wouldn't believe how much they can fluctuate at BRU. Last time I had to buy there because I couldn't make it to BBB and a case was $36 Chat Icon !!

Same here, a case lasts about a week. Sarah's 9 months and eats up to 6 oz at a sitting. We use 5-6 bottles a day, but she rarely wants the full 6, so we end up wasting some.

There is one cashier at the Massapequa BRU who checks ID, the rest don't. My mom and MIL get the coupons for me as well. Target never checks, and the one in Levittown has them marked on the shelf as $5.79 per bottle but it rings up at $5.24 a bottle or something like that. Way cheaper than BRU, but looks like I'll be hitting BBB next. $28 a case is great!

You could use the powder. It is considerably cheaper.

I use the Enfamil Lipil with Iron powder and it makes 188 fl oz. I can get it on sale for 20.99 and I usually have a coupon as well. Now it lasts about 5 to 6 days. Alex drinks 4 6oz bottles a day, including what I use to make cereal.

ETA - This week it was on sale in Stop & Shop. I had a coupon for $8.00 off the enfamil next step, but I went to the scan myself line and it took off the coupon anyway. So I got it for $12.99. Chat Icon

ETA - Alex is 8 months old.

Kevin couldn't handle the regular Similac and is on Similac Alimentum. The cost is $8-9 bottle depending where you buy it. The only place lately I find it at $8 is King Kullen and they are always sold out or have very few. I do use coupons when I have them or can. Supermarket never checks names on them. Kevin since he was about 3 months old has drank one bottle a day (32 oz). At about 9 months we are doing slightly less than 32 (about 22-24 in bottles and then about 4-5 or so in cereal - so about 26-29oz a day).

Emily uses Enfamil Gentlease and a can that makes 175 oz. is 23.99 ... I always have anywhere between a $1-6 coupon, but now they only send me $1 ones lately. We go through about a can and a half each week so somewhere between $30-35 each week I'd say.
