Did any of you moms start WW right after giving birth?

I don't mean like the day after, but did anyone get right back on the horse with WW? I am so horrified by my weight right now. I KNOW it's for a good cause and I KNOW a lot of it is the baby, but I also know a lot of it is not. I struggle with my weight all the time, and everyone keeps telling me how much harder it is to lose it after having a baby. I just do not want to end up carrying around unhealthy weight longer than I need to. So, I was just wondering if anyone started it right away or even during pregnancy? My dr. said it would be fine for me to start now, but only to maintain my weight, not to lose any, but I don't know if I want to do that.

I joined two weeks after Peyton was born. She'll be 3 months on May 22 and I've lost almost all the weight. I gained 45 lbs.

Not sure if you were a life time member ever, but if you were, weight watchers is free for the first 3 months.

Thanks for your response. I never used to go to the meetings, so I was not a lifetime member, but I will be going once I have the baby. I need to make sure I do that for myself. And congrats to you for losing all the weight!Chat Icon

No but I should have gone. I lost all my baby weight by the time I went back for my 6 week checkup but I have LOTS to lose because I was overweight when I got pregnant.

Nope, but I walked it off! Our stroller has tons of miles on it and I had tons of weight to loose. I started walking with him a few days after I got home in the mornings and evenings. Around 3 months when I could put him in Gym daycare I started step classes.

Yep! This is the first time I ever went. I never needed it before and felt I NEEDED to get the weight off fast. I have been on it for 4 weeks and have lost 15 lbs. But I gained 5lbs back b/c I had a very bad week between my b-day, DH's b-day and mother's day. I am getting back on the band wagon this week. I had waited 2 months after DD was born.
