Paint question
Actually two questions...
1. What brand of paint do you recommend?
2. Does anyone know the approximate price of a gallon of Benjamin Moore vs. Behr's lets say?
We are moving into our new house by October and are basically painting every room, so I don't want the price getting out of hand, but yet want a good paint job.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Paint question
I've seen a lot of posts regarding this topic and everyone has a different opinion but...with that being said imo, I prefer Benjamin Moore. It definitely costs more, but I felt like it was easier to paint with. We did one room in Behrs and it was a nightmare, it will be repainted anyway to become the nursery and we are using BM again.

Re: Paint question
I use both BM and Behr. I thought Behr wasn't going to be good, but I just did the baby's room in Behr and it came out great. Maybe it's the level of each paint that you buy. You know how some have a cheaper version or the more expensive? I know BM has that too. If you use the cheaper BM version it doesn't work as nicely either.

Re: Paint question
there are a bunch of posts on the LIW home board abotu the different brands... i have heard positive and negative arguements about each brand... we are about to move into our house and was thinking of doing one room at a time and trying both brands... i feel like paint is paint... but who knows if that is really true.... also, sometimes paint can differ based on the color pigments that are in it...

Re: Paint question
IMO, the Lowe's brand of paint, American Tradition, is far better than Behr's or BM. I do not like Behr's at all. I did use BM garrison red in my dining room and I was happy with the results. But the rest of my house is in AMerican Tradition by Lowe's and I really like that paint.
