Cherry kitchen pictures/color ideas?
Can anyone help me with a color choice??
I'm painting the kitchen in our new house this weekend - and I can't figure out what wall color to go with. The cabinets are cherry, with a light beige floor and light beige countertop. This will only be a temporary fix, as we want to put in a new countertop and backsplash.....but I want to find a color that works for now, so I can enjoy it in our first holiday there.
There is very little wall space (just above cabinets and on opposite wall in eating area) - and it's currently yellow. I'd like to go with a color other than yellow since the LR and DR are gold.

Ho about a nice blue like a teal-that and brown is very fashonable right now. your kitchems tough because the cabinets are very dark and everything else is light. I think you need a color that really pops.

thanks. The kitchen's tough because it's ugly!  I already miss my newly renovated stainless and granite kitchen from our old house...

Aww I don't think its ugly-you might want to look into getting just new counters put on-my IL's did this and their kitchen looks brand new! Do you like the buish green?

I do like that color - just not sure I can get my DH on the same page. He's ridiculously conservative when it comes to colors.
And new countertops are already being planned - just not immediately!

What about a gold or an olive green - My kitchen color is nice - lambskin I think (Benjamin Moore) - it's more beige-ish though... not sure if you're looking for a color...
PS - your kitchen is NOT ugly, I have those freaking formica/fake wood cabinets that my parents got when they redid their kitchen in the 80's (different house though of course) and a white formica counter top, EW! I HATE HATE HATE my kitchen!!! We tried to spruce it up with paint and a new floor for now...

I am looking for paint colors too. If you go to benjaminmoore.com they will send you colors of what would look good in your kitchen. I sent them two pictures in about a week they sent me color schemes
