HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
My friend just told me he saw on channel 12 news that the huntington townhouse is going to be demolished and they are building 189 condos on that site.
Anyone else hear about this?
Danielle and I got married there...That place was sooo beautiful on the inside....
So sad..... Scott

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
The current owner applied tio the Town of Huntington to change the zoning from commercial to residential so that they could tear the hall down and build condos.
There was a big article in Newsday today. The town hasnt approved the petition yet.

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
I thought I heard a while back the Huntington Townhouse wasn't doing as well financially as they would have liked.
I DJed a wedding there a while back. Place looked ok.... but it was many years ago so my memory isn't great on the subject.

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
In the past year or so, I haven't heard anything positive about that place.
My parents were married there nearly 26 years ago.....
I actually think the housing is a good decision.

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
Danielle and I were married there in August 04, and we had no complaints at all. The chapel, the cocktail hour, and the reception were amazing. Everyone had a great time and the food was really good too.
She has a huge parking lot next to the hall that she could build these condos. I really hope they do not knock down the townhouse......

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
Rhona Silver wanted to build a hotel ther as well a number of years ago and that never came to fruition.
The town will have to do environmental studies before they do anything. They just applied for a change in zoning so far.

Re: HUNTINGTON TOWNHOUSE
Just what Huntington needs - condos to raise taxes to accomodate the influx into the school systems. How about discounted housing for teachers and the rest of the school districts can donate towards the cause?
