For those of you that remodeled your house....
We have decided to get some quotes to do this before we put the house on the market.
We pretty much need a complete redo of the home. Who do you recommend, for quality and a fair price?
I am sure this will just be the beginning of MANY questions....so please forgive me in advance.....

Do you just want to renovate the existing house (new doors, windows, kitchen, baths, etc) or do you want to expand?

we bought a small home- 3br 1 bathroom and had hardwood put down in the rooms that didnt have it, refinished and satined the floors in the rooms that DID have it, we painted, added crown molding in a bunch of rooms, added recessed lighting, redid the bathroom (all stock stuff from home depot), new doors, painted the kithcne cabinets and got cheap new couter tops and 3 new appliances, new light fixtures everywhere, new french doors
a COMPLETE cosmetic redo.
it costs us, at the end of the day, about 25-30k

KADLEC Construction. Call George. He is finishing up our house and I am THRILLED with our decision to use him. They're in Port Jeff Sta, but work all over the island. I dont have hins # on me but if you can't get it through information let me know and I'll check for you!!

I am probobly crazy, but I would like to gut what I have AND Expand. I have an old cottage, that has been slightly expanded on, so there is a second floor, but there is only a loft there, so we need to raise the roof, and make that bigger to put ACTUAL bedrooms up there. Kitchen needs to be redone...actually entire floor plan needs to be redone

I have an appt. with Harbor Hills in Port Jeff St. so far (this is where I live...so YES, please pass on your number to me if you have it handy. ALso, what did you do to your house, and if it is not too personal, how much is it running you? You can FM if you do not want to post publicly...thanks
