Can somebody recommend a decent bottle/brand of red wine??
I know this is nuts... but I am taking a cholesterol test at the end of next week. My doctor said a glass of wine a day would help my scores.
I already have very good scores... but for some stupid reason the previous life insurance company I applied to previously only gave me the "standard rate" which was total BS. Not taking any chances this time around.
I am going to have a glass of wine a day (or maybe every other day). Can somebody recommend something decent? Not too expensive... maybe around $20 a bottle (at the liquor store).
I am going to the store later on today... so feel free to post away. Thanks.

Polycosanol (herbal supplement - avaailable at GNC) - 2 pills a day - will also help lower your cholesterol....at least that is what my Dr. told me.....

Can't help on the wine, but my MIL drinks pure cranberry juice (I think she said she waters it down some, but the juice cocktail doesn't work) so that her cholesterol # will be down when she has to go in for a check up. I keep telling her she is only cheating herself, but she says it works.

Actually my doctor said all my bad cholesterol numbers looked perfectly fine.
The only thing he said was... i had to raise my "good" cholesterol. he said it was slightly low and to drink wine or eat more walnuts to raise it.
