sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
I just wanted to ask if anyone uses those sleep sacks and if so at what age did you start? My daughter is only 2 weeks old but does not like her arms in the swaddle. I thought that maybe the sleep sack would be better than that for her.
ALso, What would she wear under the sleep sack? SHe is wearing gowns right now with a onesie under it. I dont want her to get to hot at night. Thank you - Shari

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
We started using the sleep sack when she no longer wanted to be swaddled, about 2 months old. Usually she wears feetie pj's under it with a short sleeve onsie.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
The one we use does not have arms. It is not fleece, it is lighter I think. It looks quilted.
This is it.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
When Kevin was little we swaddled him for a month or so but he always escaped and didn't seem to like it. So I turned to those sleep sack/bunting fleece things and used that until the weather got warm - so March-early may - I guess. I used the gowns under them with the onsies until he out grew the gowns and then I used one piece stretchies. Then on warm spring days or cool summer days I used the light weight Halo sleepsacks with a stretchie underneath.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
We have the flannel sleep sack w/no arms. So I put him in a long sleeve onesie and the sleep sack.
ETA: I tried the sleep sack when my son was a couple of weeks old but he was too small for it so we swaddled him with arms in for 2 mos.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
If the sleep sack has arms than a onesie under it. If it has no arms I put a long sleeve onesie under. My babies tend to get warm at night.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
I've been using the sleeveless sleep sack since he was about 2 months old. Just PJs with feet underneath, no onesie.

Re: sleep sacks vs Swaddle blanket
I just stopped swaddling and started using the sleep sacks. The first couple of nights I put him in feety pjs (no onsie) and the sleevelss sack. For some reason his room is colder than the other rooms so last night I put him in the long sleeve sleep sack with his feety pjs but I watched him to make sure he didn't sweat....he was fine in it.
