when do you feel movement?

I am in my 19th week and havent felt the baby move at all. (atleast I dont think I have?) Everyone keeps asking me if Ive felt the baby kick and how they felt theirs at 15, 16 17 weeks. Is this normal that I havent felt anything yet? Im starting to get a little nervous....

Re: when do you feel movement?

It's normal for some people, so don't worry. A few girls here didn't feel movement until 20+ weeks. The first movement you'll feel will probably be little flutters or what feels like bubbles popping...or even gas LOL

Re: when do you feel movement?

Don't get nervous. I'm 18 wks, haven't felt a thing. I was told that btw 18 and 22 weeks you can start feeling something, however you may not realize that's what you're feeling. I could swear I felt something the other day, but then again, it could have just been in my head. I'm still not so sure and I haven't felt anything since. Some women don't feel it for a while, especially with their first.

Re: when do you feel movement?

Mine was around 14 weeks. It started with tiny bubble - popping feelings. I am tiny so my midwife said I would start feeling early on. Everyone is different, I know people who didn't feel anything until 20 weeks +. Hang in there, it will happen soon enough Chat Icon

Re: when do you feel movement?

See, I think thats half the problem, unless it feels like some hard kick that Id notice for sure - I really dont know what Im supposed to be feeling. A few friends described it as gas but Im still unclear. can anyone who has felt it already explain it better for me? thanks!

Re: when do you feel movement?

Like I said, I haven't felt it yet, but I read it can even feel like little electric sparks.

To me at first it kinda felt like a feather was tickling me or bubbles. Then a few weeks later it would feel like something was brushing by my belly so I figured the baby was bumping into me while it was swimming around in there.

The first feeling is little bubbles or flutters but you may miss it or think it is something else..

I was 16 weeks when I felt my baby move and I agree with Knotted it felt like ripples/waves in my tummy and I would only feel him about once or twice a week. Once I got to the 20th week it was more frequent and harder.

Re: when do you feel movement?

I started feeling my baby boy at 18 weeks. Don't worry, some women don't feel them until later on in their pregnancy. Everyone is different.
