I used to work in a lingerie/foundations in a department store. So many women are in denial that they are longer a 34. They will squeeze themselves into these bras. Underwear in general is supposed to be comfortable. I don't watch Oprah much, but she is absolutely right.

yes...the old ladies at Blums are certainly not shy about seeing boobies but I guess they dont think its a big deal but they do help you find the right bra!!

i measured myself, there is an old posting on this site that gives you the "formula" on how to measure yourself correctly. i did it and i realized, i have been wearing a 34a and my real cup size is a 36b!. lol. my bras never fit so well. ill try to find the post for you.
i found it. try this. here it is:
80% of women wear the wrong size bra so, grab a measuring tape and follow these steps to learn your measurements.
Band Size: place your measuring tape just below your breasts and around your body. Once you have determined that measurement, add five to that number. If you get an odd number, round up. That new total represents your band size.
Cup Size: place the measure tape across the fullest part of your bust and around your body. Don’t pull the tape tight, leave it a little loose across your breasts. Subtract this number from the Band Size figure. The difference determines your cup size as follows:
Less than 1 inch = AA
1" = A
2" = B
3" = C
4" = D
5" = E or DD
6" = F or DDD, etc.

Went to Blum's & have never been happier - and they have a huge selection.

I go there all the time! The first time I went there i was senior in high school and I was wearing a b cup and I found out I was a DD!! wow was I wrong! Ever since then my boobies are much happier!!

I tried to measure my self--but it is kinda hard to do correctly.
I had it done in VS & they told me I was the size I thought I was, but I knew it wasn't fitting properly.
I had it done a few years later in Town Shop in Manhattan & discovered, I was going two cups sizes too small & it has really helped!
Keep in mind you may have to have this done periodically, especially if you loose/gain weight.

I agree with you about VS. I got measured there too and I still didnt feel like they were right.
