toddler bed spin off
I need to get DS a new bed. He is 3 1/2 now and already potty trained. Because of space issues a loft bed would be best.
Do you think he is too little for a loft bed? I am not sure if I am being rational or just dont want to let my baby grow up?

Re: toddler bed spin off
I'd consider a loft bed like a bunk bed and I know for safety purposes, they recommend not putting them in a top bunk till they are 6. With that said, my niece has been in a loft bed since she was 4 or 4 1/2 and it became an issue for her if she had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. She would yell out for her parents to come get her at 2am to go to the bathroom b/c she was afraid of climb down in the night, then when she could navigate it on her own, she was too drowsy to climb back up and got in the habit of coming in their bed. It ended up with them having alot of disturbed sleep. HTH

Re: toddler bed spin off
good point. maybe I'll get a cheap twin bed for now and convert later. Ryan has been sleeping in our bed more and more lately so I am also afraid that if I get him a loft bed I wont be able to help him transition since I wont be able to get my big arse up there.
