You absolutely CANNOT use Windex. Any cleaner that contains ammonia cannot be used as it breaks down the seal on the granite and stains can form.
The company that my FIL (kitchen designer) always uses for granite uses Glass Plus as it contains no ammonia. That or a vinegar and water solution.

Really? I was told from where we got it from to use windex. I have been using it all along and haven't had a problem that I see.

Check if it contains ammonia. If it does it will wear the finish. Some granite manifacturers don't tell their customers and then sell them re-sealing packages.

Re: cleaning granite counter top
I use either windex or soap with paper towels and never had a problem. I was told just to wipe it off with some water afterward and it's fine.
