Sono question...and hubby not being able to go
so, ladies...I'm going for a sono (33 weeks) tomorrow and hubby has a huge job at work that he can't get out of - he's gotten out of soooo much this entire pregnancy - I just didn't realize it was tomorrow and he can't go
the problem is the appointment is at 9:15am - should I just go with my mother - OR - call at 9:00AM on the dot and reschedule? it's hard to get the sono appointments vs. just a check up
help!??

If he's been to all the other sonos, I would just go with your mom. If it was easy to reschedule, I could understand waiting, but since it's not, it may just be good to go while you have the appt. I know it s-cks going without DH, I had to go without JT to my 12wk sono, adn that was the first time I actually got to see her look like a baby.

I agree. Also, find out if they can give you a video or pics that you can show DH when he comes home from work.

Re: Sono question...and hubby not being able to go
I agree with just going to the sono w/o him rather than reschedule. For my first pregnancy I had to do them without him, but for the second I had my fill of looking like a single mom in a roomful of couples. I told my ob/gyn if they couldn't fit me in on a Saturday, than I would just forgo it. Sure enough they found a place with Saturday availability.

I agree with the other girls Bring your Mom and don't reschedule. I'm sure your Mom will be so excited to go with you

Re: Sono question...and hubby not being able to go
My 32 week sono- was nothing like the 20 week...
There wasnt that much time looking at the baby- more so the tech just getting measurments and making sure everything was ok....
At this stage there isnt much room in there and its hard to see, anything!
If you really really want him to come- then resched. but otherwise- your fine just going with your mom!

Re: Sono question...and hubby not being able to go
I had to go to my 11 week ultrascreen sono by myself because DH couldn't make it. The doc was so nice and decided to give me a DVD of the whole sono so DH was able to watch it when I got home. Maybe you can ask if this is possible?

I would take my mom and get it done, if DH has been at all the other sonograms.
