working and preggo
OMG...how are you all doing it? I was SOOOOOOOOOO sick at work today. I thought Id vomit all over the place. I did the ginger ale idea which worked a few weeks back. If it gets real bad can they put me on something? I feel horrible at work and dont know if I am gonna make it.

If you find that it's really really bad, talk with your OB. I had a friend who was taking (of course I forgot the real name for it) the medication that is given to people on chemo to prevent nausea. She said she was 100% better taking the pills. She only took it when she felt really bad.

Re: working and preggo
For my second pregnancy, I always had a water bottle with me and took small sips of water throughout the day. Eat smaller meals & munch on some fresh veggies & fruit. Eating salty food may exacerbate the situation.
My sister used some kind of magnetic wristbands from a health food store that helped.
HTH!

The medication you are thinking about is Zofran. They often give it to PG ladies whose nausea is really bad. I had a girlfriend who had hyperemesis of pregnancy for the whole 9 months. She lived on Zofran and Reglan for the whole time, as she could not stop vomiting without it.

Re: working and preggo
I am in the same situation....I actually had to ask a patient to leave early last night and I had my head in the garbage. Its a terrible feeling...I took compazine last night (my doctor said that it was fine as needed) and it helped and I was able to eat. I really feel for you...I am having a really tough time also...
