We got Christening candy molds and made chocolate lollipops. They came out beautiful! My sister did them all. You don't have to use just brown chocolate we also used white chocolate and some color. It's a little time consuming, but worth the effort.

Re: Anyone have a good idea for a christening favor
What about a little blue scented soap or scented candle, wrapped in white tulle and tied with a little blue personalized ribbon.
Or little hershey kisses wrapped in tulle.
Or if you go to the dollar store they have little trinket boxes or figurines of little boy christening stuff.
Or those little plastic white booties (Ive seen them in party stores) with blue jelly beans or blue M&M's, wrapped in tulle with a ble ribbon.
I'll keep thinking!!

I made chocolate covered mini pretzels and packed them in a little clear bag. I made a tag on the computer with his name and date.
I also ordered light blue iced heart shaped cookies from Cheryls Cookies, they came indiviually wrapped and were very good!
If I can find a pic I'll post later.

Re: Anyone have a good idea for a christening favor
I made did votive candles. I got the glass holders and candles at AC Moore on sale, so it was less than $0.50 for each favor for those, then I made labels on 2" x 4" labels that had a picture of her and said "God Bless Sarah Anne on her Christening Day June 5, 2005" and then I wrapped them in clear cellophane and put a favor bow from AC Moore on them. It's like a rubber band with a ribbon on it.
The hardest part was setting up the labels, and then the most time consuming part was putting the labels on and wrapping them. My mom and I made 30 in like 1 hour or so.
Not the greatest pics but you get the idea:

Re: Anyone have a good idea for a christening favor
Thanks! I stole the idea from ones I saw on ebay for a few bucks each. If you want, FM me your email address and I can send you the Word template I used for the labels. You have to put the picture in each label, which is annoying, but for the rest of the text you should be able to do a find and replace.
