DH was in a car accident yesterday - Can someone answer a ? for me
My husband was in an accident yesterday in Rockville Centre. Luckily nobody was hurt. My car was the only one that had to get a tow 
Apparently the car will be in the shop for several weeks.
My question is - my insurance will not cover car rental - since the accident was someone else's fault, will their insurance cover a rental for me?

Yep! Their ins. should cover a rental for you. I was in this situation when I first learned to drive- my car was PARKED and I was in my friend's car with her driving. My friend backed into my brand new car! It was undrivable since she hit it on the passenger side front at an angle that caused the side to get pushed into the wheel. My insurance said they couldn't cover a rental for me that I had to go through my friend's insurance. I did and they covered it only for a few days at first and I had to fight them to get them to cover the rental until my car was fixed which was 2 weeks!
Good luck and I'm glad no one was hurt- especially your DH!

Thanks guys ! He's ok. His back is bothering him a bit but he thinks it is probably just temporary.
We went to clean out the car (my new car doesn't look so new anymore !!!) and talk to the body shop people. They said it could be as much as $10k in damage. I couldn't believe it. It will proibably take 3-4 weeks - a lot of the parts come from Mississippi - and because of Katrina things are moving slow. I said to the guy I care more about the people down there - I know my car will get fixed in the long run.
I gotta go pamper my guy.
