4th of July 1st Birthday Party -- Need Ideas Please.
Hi,
We have decided to have Ava Rose's 1st Birthday on July 4th (her birthday). However, I am not crazy about the patriotic invitations and theme ideas. If she was a boy, I might be more willing to consider them.
I would love to do a princess theme or something girly. But it is the fourth of July. Also, we would like to get a character to come to the house to entertain the kids. She really does not have any preference to characters as of yet. She does love Care Bears though. If I did a princess theme, who could I get to come to the house??? Should I get a clown?? I am SO confused.
Can anyone please help me decide on a theme and invitations and where I can go from there.

I know in the yankee trader there are advertisements for the charecters I believe they actually have cinderella, belle etc......you could go that route!

I wouldn't get a clown. Clowns freak out most kids (and me too!).
Don't worry about it being 4th of July. By that time people will have been seeing so many 4th of July decorations they'd probably like seeing something different.
We use this database at the library to find performers. It has mostly educational acts and programs but under Performing Arts you can find magicians, balloon sculpture... DON'T freak out about the prices listed. They are quotes for schools and libraries. Private parties are usually much lower.

I agree, just because it's 4th of July, doesn't mean you have to go with the stars and stripes theme. I also have to agree with not having the clown...they freak me out too.

What about Strawberry Shortcake? Strawberries are July 4th Favorite and I'm sure there is plenty of Strawberry Shortcake things out between the party places and online at like Oriental Trading.
