1 year old pictures
What will you/did you have your son/daughter wear? I want something nice but casual. Any suggestions? Ryan will be 1 on June 23rd.

How about a nice button down shirt with a pair of khakis?
I don't know why but I love pictures of kids without their shoes on. Just LOVE the feetsies sticking out!!!

I LOOVE barefoot pics too, we do that even for Xmas fotos, we whip off all the kids shoes and socks 
As far as bday outfit, this all started with my hubby and we're on to our 3rd boy now, but their 1st bday outfits have been a sailor suit.
and NOTHING looks cuter on a little boy than a dashing little sailor suit!  
Go shopping around, you will def get addicted if you see one! My MIL already bought one as a coming home outfit for my # 3 due in august... even though it was supposed to be a bday thing only, I couldnt resist 
and of course IM sure he'll look gorgeous in anything you put on him !

Thank You! The sailor suit sounds cute. I was so unsure of pants or shorts because he is a summer baby. Well - I guess I have some shopping to do. I'll take a look around and see what I decide. Sailor suit, pants, shorts. Too many choices.

Im sure you'll find some, we even saw some in Macys. and since they put them on the racks in the spring, theyre already on sale now. definately shorts!
oh and you CANT forget the little ITalian embroidered socks (well that was my must) but in summer it might even be too hot, adorable little sandals will be perfect!
ETA: Since I love the "skin showing" stuff (since I mentioned loving barefoot) I did shorts for both of their outfits and they are march and oct babies  I figured we were indoors and both months are "ya might get a warm day" type months and with the long italian socks, they were totally fine.
and Happy Birthday to your big boy! Isnt it a bittersweet milestone!
Also, I dont know if they still do this, but for my first boy (was 1 in 2003), Waldbaums gave away a little bday cake (for the baby only, the super small ones, like 6 inches wide), for free to all babies turning one. I havent checked to see if they still do it. It was perfect to have his own cake after the party (or the next day) to get all those pics with him digging his fingers in, and not worrying about anyone having to eat it

I went casual and did a striped rugby and jeans and sneakers. see my avatar.....
I think a summer baby would be so cute in khaki shorts and a short sleeve button down untcuked and barefoot or cute brown sandals.
