what cleaning products can I use....
We are closing on our house in March and I would love to not have to depend on my family and in laws to do EVERYTHING (paint, clean, move heavy stuff etc.) I like to get involved and it will drive me nuts to sit by and not be able to do stuff, what can I use, or, what should I definitely stay away from?

i would definitly ask your doctor. but i know i was not to lift anything heavy, smell strong paint fumes or turpintine. personally i would stay away from any strong odors or chemicals. i wouldnt chance anything. unless all your windows are open and doors and the space is extremely well ventilated. but i am neurotic. i didnt like to take any unnecessary risks.

I definitely wont be lifting anything heavy... that is what dh, bil and my brother is for All of the painting etc. will be done way before we even move in so it will be completely aired out before I get in there, I was wondering if I could at least use those chlorox wipes etc.

I used Clorex wipes when I was pregnant. They are not that bad of a smell. Its not like you are cleaning with straight bleach.

I use the Clorox or Lysol wipes, Windex, Lysol spray and Lemon funriture polish. I tried cleaning the tub and shower with Soft Scrub with bleach and it was too strong so DH took that job over for now

Not that I need this yet, but I've thought about this situation and I've looked into a product called Citre Solve that I got at the health food store. I've diluted it and put it in a spray bottle. It is probably one of the most natural things out there.

You can also do a lot with plain old vinegar. I know there are recipes online for cleaners made from natural products.

Ask your doctor what he/she thinks you can/should do. If you clean at all make sure the area is WELL ventilated.

Re: what cleaning products can I use....
I clean my house as usual. I use Scrubbing Bubbles, Comet, and Clorox wipes in the bathroom, the Swiffer WetJet on my floors, furniture polish on my wood, Windex on my mirrors, and Fantastic on my stove and counters. None of them have heavy odors and never bothered me. I was never told to stay away from anything other than things with heavy odors. I definately wouldn't use something like Tilex, ammonia, or straight bleach. I even think the spray Lysol would bother me.
