Stupid Question about Painting and Paint Samples?
OK - definitely a stupid question - but when you get paint samples - you're actually supposed to paint them on your wall? They won't show underneath when you paint over them?
Thanks!

They shouldn't if you prime over them before you paint with the final color.

also with primer get a tinted primer in the color/shade you plan to have your color in or at least paint the walls a white color before painting a pale color. In my home our master bath was almost black and now it is pale blue, it took a LOT of paint to get it a pale color.

I would also try to just fade the edges so it's not a solid block of paint on the wall. I found that it was less visible when you covered over it.

You can see all the stripes of paint samples in this pick... I was a little indecisive But we just painted over them and you don't even see them at all! Image Attachment(s):
