I feel so terrible!!! Beware: TMI
Sorry - I just have to vent. I know I should'nt complain. I have had such an easy pregnancy. Last Wed. my wisdom tooth started bothering me. This is nothing new. It usually bothers me for 2 days every 6 months or so. The dentist said that I could leave it alone if it doesn't bother me too much. Well, it hasn't been that bad until now. Figures. I have a dr. appt. on Tuesday so I'll see what he says. I don't even have a dentist here in Chicago. I went to my NY dentist in August for my 6 month appt.
The TMI part: Then tonight I had to go to the bathroom and it was the most painful thing EVER. I've been having "issues" all along, but tonight was really really really bad. Now my hiney really hurts. I bought Metamucil a few weeks ago, but do you think I've tried it yet?? No, I'm an idiot!!
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

My wisdom teeth were horrible during pregnancy and they never bother me. I've heard that pregnancy makes them grow.
As for the other issue, you better go mix yourself up a Metamucil coctail my dear!

Re: I feel so terrible!!! Beware: TMI
I wanted to let you know that I had a wisdom tooth removed when I was pregnant. The doctor said that it was more risky if I didn't get it removed and it got infected or something since it had a cavity in it. They used novacane which my OB approved and wrote a letter to the oral surgeon for, and gave me tylenol 3 for pain which was also safe, but I never took it -- just regular tylenol becuase I didn't want to take anything strong with the pregnancy.

That must have been very painful. I'll see what he says when I go on Tuesday. I am going to call tomorrow too.

I guess that makes sense about the teeth growing more when PG. I'm planning on mixing that cocktail first thing in the am.
To add to my discomfort, I can't sleep (again.)
Thanks for the sympathy. I know it's only temporary and will all be worth it. (right???)

Re: I feel so terrible!!! Beware: TMI
PLEASE take something like colace daily for the bathroom issue. I remember this ....It is awful and hemmroids are only the tip of the iceberg as far as issues you can get. I had to have surgery in March b/c of issues I let go , and not using something to help the constipation.
I dont want to scare you, but you have to start on something.
And I hope your tooth feels better.
