Re: New Roof

We replaced our roof this past spring. We got 2 estimates...1 for around 11,000 and one for 6,000. We obviously went with the 6,000 guy. I couldn't believe the difference in estimates! So, def shop around!

Oh, and the 6,000 also included new gutters, don't know if you need those too, so it would be cheaper without.

Edited to add: They also ripped the existing roof off.

Re: New Roof

It cost us about $5,000 to rip down the roof and redo it, sometimes if there is only one layer of shingles you can add a second layer but if there is already 2 layers on then you need to rip it down to the plywood and start over. We also paid $55 a sheet for the pieces of plywood that needed to be replaced.

Re: New Roof

We paid about the same as meganNbobby. The guy we used did our gutters also for an extra 500 which is a great deal so to rip the old roof off put in 3 vents across the back and get new gutters it was 4000. It was very good deal. FM me if you want his info. The roof was done in about 4 hours. Gutters went on next day. I would higly recommend them.
