What on earth do you wear?
I am 12 weeks and I am not showing, but I definitely have a bloated tummy and none of my pants will button. Plus, my shirts are all small for some reason. However, my body is not ready for maternity clothes yet without looking stupid, and I don't want to spend money on regular "bigger" clothes. So what did all you girls do???

Re: What on earth do you wear?
I used a rubberband and tied it to my pants. That helped a little

Re: What on earth do you wear?
The Bella Band can help extend the life of your present jeans/pants for a while. As for shorts, I suggests buying some a size bigger than what you're used to. You will wear them for a while now and then again after the baby is born.

Re: What on earth do you wear?
I have been using my bella band, which has really helped. But it is such a dificult time to get dressed (I'm 13 weeks). I can't wait until I can actually start wearing maternity clothes, instead of just trying to stuff myself into regular clothes.

Re: What on earth do you wear?
i purchased maternity clothes early because i retained a lot of water right away. Maternity jeans and pants are so comfy. I didn't go crazy buying a whole new wardrobe since you grow and you could outgrow maternity clothes. But I got a few things to make the beginning comfortable.

Re: What on earth do you wear?
That was the worst time for me too. I purchased bigger clothes for work, but I did so thinking that I could wear them on the way back down. But they ended up being too big on me by the time I returned to work.

I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I'm so frustrated. I bought the bella bands but they ride up on me, I tried bigger sizes but they are still tight on my tummy and big every where else and maternity don't quite fit yet. I'm not sure what else to do. I just look horrible lately.
Please let me know if you find a solution that works!!! Good luck

Re: What on earth do you wear?
I bought the maternity stuff early on and it worked out better than I thought. In the beginning I could do styles that didn't really look maternity and didn't work at the end. I just wore needed the pants for a while. And button down shirts looked as though they were regular shirts but covered the bands if they showed.

I also used the bella band. I loved it, but I must warn you that some people have not had so much luck with it. For them, it was always rolling up and down.

Re: What on earth do you wear?
I bought some maternity pants early on (about 9 or 10 weeks) from the gap. They are great. I wore my regular shirts and they were fine in the cooler months (sweaters and such). As it's gotten warmer, I have bought some maternity tops that I don't think look very maternity (I am trying to stay away from the ties in the back for now) just because I don't want to draw any attention to myself at this point at work.

I had to buy some maternity pants early. But used my Bella Band and got a lot more time out of some of my regular pants.

Re: What on earth do you wear?
I had 2 sizes in maternity clothes. Small and medium. The small was great in the beginning and medium took me through to the end. I would buy a few pieces(pants) now with small panels so you are more comfortable.
