a little worried
I am 8 weeks and 4 days, and I am not going to be able to get my first sonogram for like another 3 weeks, because I am waitting for my insurance to kick in. Do you think that is to late for a first sonogram? should I just pay out of pocket so I find out if everything is ok?

For the piece of mind, I would pay out of pocket but you don't need one.

I am sure everything is ok but honestly, I would probably pay for it just to have that piece of mind

Re: a little worried
if it were me and as long as they were able to hear a heartbeat, I would be fine with that. I am also a penny pincher though.

Re: a little worried
I had mine at what I thought was 6 weeks, but it turns out I was really only 4.5 weeks. I get one at each doctor's visit, but I know that not all doctors do that.

Re: a little worried
With this pregnancy I didn't know for a long time. I didn't have my sono until I was 18 weeks . I would wait until the insurance kicked in. Mine wasn't in effect yet when I first went, and the sono alone would have cost $1200
Edited for spelling

wow, thats a lot of money, I was thinking like $400.00. I think I am going to have to wait, I am just going to be worrying for the next couple of weeks.

I had my first sonogram at 9 weeks.
Have you heard the baby's heartbeat yet?

no, I thought that is the sonogram? Is there something different to hear the heart beat?
