Driving with your dog - small dogs
When you are driving and your dog is in the car with you, where is your dog sitting?
My dog likes to sit on the drivers lap and look out their window. It isnt very comfortable, and probably not very safe.
I am bringing Tiny to the vet today - Do you think he would be ok if I put his cage in the back seat, and put him in it?
I would be afraid with turns and stuff.....He may freak out in there. Scott

I use a car seat. They have to wear a harness and you attach them to it by that. Lola loves it. She will sleep or look out the window. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Driving with your dog - small dogs
Tiny gets too excited and would never let me put a harness on him or put him in that seat

I use a harness that has a seat belt attachment. Tyson can roam free on the back seat while clipped into a seatbelt, he loves it.
I have a carseat for him and he'd make his way out of it everytime and wind up dangerously all over the car.
He likes to roam around the car, but g*d forbid I get into an accident I want him safe and buckled up.
This is what it is:

Molly is so good - she doesn't move from the front passenger seat.

Reggie sits on my lap too so I hve no solutions I have tried putting him in the crate but he throws up almost every time. If someone is with me its fine becuase he will sit in their lap but for the few times we drive he is on my lap.
