Did anyone decide to continue to use formula instead of milk?
DH thinks that continuing to use formula (Enfamil Next Step) would be better than switching to milk. Any thoughts on this?

I tried the Next Step and Hayley didn't really like it so I am going to just go with the milk.

Re: Did anyone decide to continue to use formula instead of milk?
I was wondering the same thing. I think 6 oz of whole milk has more calories then the next step formula --- maybe someone can check a label for us since I only have 2% in the house right now....but I know the iron and calcium are in the formula.
My main concern is that Emily doesn't eat much solid food so I'm afraid she won't get enough nutrition, but I'll do whatever the doctor recommends and then alter as needed.

I was concerned about this too because Antonio is a picky eater. However at this time I decided against it. I have started weaning him to milk. Milk does not have as many nutrients as formulas but it also does not fill them up as much, I've been told. So as they start to drink milk instead of formula they should be hungrier for solids.
The ped told me today if we are concerned about lack of nutrients or weight gain we could supplement with PediaSure.

I thought I might since she's on the small side but wow milk is so much easier and less expensive I'm not even tempted.

Re: Did anyone decide to continue to use formula instead of milk?
I continued to use formula until DD was about 18 months. I too felt DD didn't eat enough solids and I would rather give her complete nutrition w/ formula than just a bottle of milk. I never really discussed it w/ the doctor and it was my own choice.
I eventually weened her off formula when I felt she was eating well. I did go back to formula when she was about 24 months b/c she was sick and wouldn't eat anything but bottles. I supplemented w/ formula for about two weeks.
The other side to giving more formula is that they are too full to eat solids. So eventually one has got to give.
