Escaped Monkey Must Not Like Life On Outside; Returns To Zoo
SAN DIEGO -- Freedom isn't all that great. At least to one escaped monkey.
Takala, a golden-bellied mangabey, got out of the new monkey exhibit at the San Diego Zoo Friday. But he was found less than an hour later, waiting to get back inside.
Zookeepers said they were searching for Takala, when they opened an outside door to the monkey exhibit and he walked right in. Officials had moved visitors away from the area while searching for the monkey.
Officials said Takala escaped through a hole in the netting around the enclosure. But they're not sure if Takala actually made the hole or just found it.
The $28 million Monkey Trails and Forest Tales exhibit opened this month and has been promoted by the zoo as a more natural and visitor-friendly setting than its original monkey habitat.

I also get mad because they go on and on and on in those monkey noises which make no sense to me and I often have to wonder "what was the point to that long monkey rant"
Ohh that and they eat bugs out of other one's heads and butts

Felecia, did you ever go to Bird Jungle- the bird store near California Pizza Kitchen? That place freaks me out!
As do the pigeons in Grand Central.

Okay, I resisted this question on the other animal post, but why do Chickens scare you??
I'll admit, I can't really talk because I have a paralyzing fear of whales, but that's deeply rooted in my childhood issues.
You would have hated where I grew up in Delaware. Most of my friends had Chicken farms!! Thousands and thousands of chickens!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Heather, Bird Jungle is like my WORST NIGHTMARE (unfortunately I live right up the hill from there and I HEAR those chirpies alllll the time )
Yeah that's my nightmare come alive, just add some bats to it and I'd be doomed
