I'm a huge miracle grow fan. I buy a box of the powder & mix it w/water in a watering can & my impatients get huge. I give it to them about once a week, they need a good bit of regular water too.

another vote for Miracle Grow. We are using the attachment that goes on the hose and we do it once a week. My petunias are HUGE around my mailbox.
