What would you do? UPDATE: Problem SOLVED!
So DH and I have broadway tickets for Sat nite... as we all know it's supposed to SNOW.
Well...we went through a big mess with baby sitters (this was before we even knew about the snow)...2 backed out, etc etc. Finally, we just decided we would drop Jake off at his regular weekday sitter who lives 10-15 mins away.
But now with the snow... I don't know if we should even do that. I told DH I don't want him driving in and we could take the train which is one minute from the sitters house. But by the time we get back, we could possibly have to drive home with the baby in several inches of unplowed snow.
Now I have one other sitter (my cousin) who might be able to babysit at our house. But even still...with supposed blizzard conditions on Sat nite...should we even go? If we don't go we lose hundreds of $$$...they were expensive seats. This was our Valentine's day thing.
Would you go if you had to drop the baby off? Would you go only if you could get the sitter to come to the house? Or would you just not go at all since it's probably going to be horrible out? Ugh...I'm so dissappointed that it seems like our v-day weekend is ruined because of the stupid snow!!

Re: What would you do?
I would go either way. To me, the most dangerous part of driving in the snow is the other drivers so when you get back from the city, there shouldn't be too many people out. The snow isn't suppose to start until late afternoon and get heavy after 9, so going to the babysitter shouldn't be that big of a deal. I would take the train though.
Go and have a great time.

Re: What would you do?
i had tix to a show last year and called the day of and they said if you cant make it in they woud let us come to another performance during the week or sundays, no sat nights - and your seats will of course be different than the ones purchased. (i took down the names of everyone i spoke with)
i was relieved not to have to go in.
we actually just saw the show almost a year later and no probems!

Re: What would you do?
I would definitely GO! Who is sitting for you? Is it a relative, maybe you can stay over? Take the train, have a great time and hopefully the snow won't be as bad.

I would have your cousin stay over so you don't have to even think about driving with the baby and go to the show.
