Snap N Go vs. Snugride Carseat Frame

I was checking them out today and the Snugride seems to be a bit smaller and easier to snap into (though I am not a pro just yet!) Anyone have any thoughts on either or? I am reg'ing for the Snugride car seat so could go either way...

i went with the Graco because i couldn't figure out how to snap the Snugride into the Snap N Go at the store Chat Icon . turns out one has to adjust the Snap N Go to fit (i think because it may fit more types of car seats), and the Graco just seemed easier for my impatient needs.

i didn't like the fact that i couldn't find any ratings on the Graco, but picked it anyway...

Re: Snap N Go vs. Snugride Carseat Frame

since we're going with the snugride infant car seat/carrier, the salesman at BRU recommended the snugride frame rather than the snap n go. so that's what we went with. plus, i prefer the way it looks.

Peter insisted we get the Snugride b/c he felt it was safer b/c the Graco infant car seat snaps into the Snugride. On the Snap and Go, it just sits on top and then you put a "belt" around the car seat. Personally, I think they're both safe. My friend has the snap and go and has never had any problems with it. One thing that I like better about the snap and go is that the car seat sits up higher and allows more access to the basket. On the snugride car seat frame, the car seat is snapped in low so once I put my diaper bag in the basket, I have to take of the car seat to remove the bag. On the snap and go the car seat sits up higher so you don't have this problem.

Peter insisted we get the Snugride b/c it seems safer in that our Graco infant car seat snaps into the Snugride. On the Snap and Go, it just sits on top and then you put a "belt" around the car seat and click it that way. Either one is safe (my friend has the snap and go and has never had any problems with it.). One thing that I like better about the snap and go is the basket underneath. On the snugride car seat frame, the car seat is snapped in low so once I put my diaper bag in the basket, I have to take of the car seat to remove the bag. On the snap and go the car seat sits up higher so you don't have this problem.

Just to clarify, on the snap n go, part of the snugride does snap on, i forget exactly how but you needed to release it the same way you would from the car seat base in the car. the strap is an extra precaution.

That's ok. Only the front half snaps in I think. Its' been a while since I used it. But it definately snaps somewhere. I'm sure in the Graco one it snaps in better like in the car seat base.
