Married Ladies - question about your wedding dress

Are there any current wedding dress styles that weren't around when you got your dress that you like now? I see so many styles now on LIW that I love!
I was searching in vain for a wedding dress with a lace top when I started looking and there was no lace ANYWHERE!!! ABout a month before my wedding, I started seeing lace everywhere!!
Also, I love that gathered/ruched bottom look.

Are you kidding - my heart aches everytime I see a full ballgown with lots of gorgeous rouching and bustling. The gowns that were like that when I looking for mine were all insanely expensive and I had already spent thousands on mine. Now every copy cat designer makes them for alot less!!!

That's what I was going to say! I loved my ballgown, and I had a double French bustle, but it wasn't anything like what they have now.

Re: Married Ladies - question about your wedding dress

I LOVED my dress, but now that my sister is getting married, I do see newer gowns that are really nice and would have tried on.

Im married for a while now, and yes, there are a lot more gowns out there I wouldve loved to have tried on. I LOVE my dress, but styles have changed.
1st thing I wouldve def. had was a detachable train!

Re: Married Ladies - question about your wedding dress

I haven't looked at any dresses, but mine was such an old-school, classic dress that I'm guessing there's not much out there that would appeal to me. I like the Audrey Hepburn type look to wedding dresses.Chat Icon I wish I could wear my dress everyday!Chat Icon

Re: Married Ladies - question about your wedding dress

Most of the dresses now have that gathered look at the bottom, for me personally I wouldn't have ever gotten that so I'd have to say I'm glad I got married when I did. I love the style of my dress.
